The US Food and Drug Administration hopes to grant full authorization for Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine by early September, the New York Times reported, putting the agency slightly ahead of the president’s estimate of “early fall.” The regulator will look to complete the approval process by the beginning of next month, “multiple people familiar with the plan”   told the Times on Tuesday, while the FDA added in comments elsewhere that upgrading authorization from emergency use could “bring additional confidence” in the Pfizer jab. “Acknowledging the urgency related to the current state of the pandemic, we have taken an all-hands-on-deck approach… in order to complete our review to help combat this pandemic surge,” the agency told the Hill in a statement, though added it “cannot comment” on a specific timeframe. The move is alleged to cost her $50 million in potential bonuses. Johansson’s lawyers filed the lawsuit on Thursday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking unspecified monetary damages. The lawsuit claims that Disney breached their contract when they released the Avengers spinoff on the streaming service “the very same day” it was released in movie cities, thereby lowering ticket sales – on which Johansson’s contractual bonuses largely depended. “Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel,” the lawsuit said. Nine months after the 2020 US election, a new poll shows that two-thirds of Republicans still refuse to believe President Joe Biden got his job “fair and square,” despite media efforts to dismiss any claims of fraud as conspiracy. The latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll , released on Wednesday, showed that 66% of Republicans believe last November’s election was “stolen” from former President Donald Trump. Just 18% said they consider Biden’s victory to be “fair and square,” and approximately 16% were undecided. While only 3% of Democrat respondents believe Trump was robbed, 28% of independents agree that the Republican was the rightful winner, the survey showed. Overall, 29% of participants said the election was rigged. The results were little changed from other polls done this year, Yahoo acknowledged.
